Jennifer Lopez Embarks On 22-Day Vegan Diet Adventure


Jennifer Lopez recently decided to go vegan for 22 days.

Since the American Idol judge isn’t a huge fan of working out, she decided to find another way to help keep her figure in tip-top shape. Although it’s obvious that Lopez still hits the gym on a regular basis, the singer wanted to supplement these excursions with a healthier diet. According to Jennifer, the vegan diet has helped her feel nothing short of incredible.

“I’ve got to tell you I enjoy it. I enjoy eating that way. I never did. And I didn’t know how good you can feel when you put healthy stuff in your body,” Lopez recently told Ryan Seacrest.

She added, “I did the vegan 22-day plan and it was really good and I kept on with it for a few more weeks. Now I’ve incorporated a little bit of fish here and there.”

Us Weekly reports that Jennifer Lopez isn’t the only famous face to adopt exercise expert Marco Borges’s 22-day vegan diet. Jay Z and Beyonce also embarked on the cleanse not too long ago, a dietary adventure that the rapper described as “spiritual.”

“Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you’ve found the way,” Jay Z explained late last year.

There’s a very good reason why Jennifer Lopez is anxious to get in great shape. In case you haven’t heard, the singer is preparing to unleash her 10th studio album on the masses later this year. AKA is currently slated to hit retail shelves on June 17.

Here’s what she had to say about her latest endeavor:

“I don’t know what enough is to everybody. I just love creating. I love what I do. There’s is no lie – I love being successful, I love continuing to be successful. It’s a blessing to me. I’m happy when my life is right, my kids are right, and I’m doing what I love. Sometimes I take on too much and then I’m like ‘I’m not going to do that again.’ It’s a balance. I’m learning as I go. I’m never not in artist time. The other stuff is my side hustle. I’m always artist first.”
