Taylor Swift Lunches With Lorde In NYC, Are They Lesbian Lovers?
Taylor Swift enjoyed a date with her friend, Lorde, in New York City on Monday. According to Mail Online, the ladies lunched at Tiny’s & The Bar Upstairs and spent a good amount of time catching up. While there is no way to tell just what Taylor and Lorde were talking about whilst they ate, Mail Online took a few stabs at what gossip might have been shared.
For starters, the two pals likely talked about who they are dating. Rumors that Swift has been dating several guys (from Theo James to Zach Braff) have been heating up the web for weeks. The two may have also discussed work as both of them are into all kinds of cool things with their respective careers. For example, Lorde just wrapped her Australian tour and Swift is currently facing a lawsuit.
Interestingly enough, Taylor Swift and Lorde’s relationship has had many people talking because there are some rumors out there that the two are romantically involved. According to Kpopstarz, Australian radio host Kyle Sandilands actually tried to ask Lorde about her “friendship” with Swift — and things got a little awkward.
“I see you guys’ pictures everywhere. Are you guys like, uh, are you together now? Not together as in lesbians. I’m not talking about ‘Ellen together.’ I’m talking about, like, you guys are friendly right?”
Lorde was quick to bite:
“What do you mean you’re not talking about ‘Ellen together’? Is there something wrong with lesbians? Is that what you’re trying to say?”
Then Sandilands tried to dig himself out of the hole:
“Oh my god no, I would love that! Are you going to confirm now you’re in a lesbian relationship with her?”
But Lorde quickly replied, “don’t even try it. It’s not working,” shutting him down without giving his question any further thought. Evidently Taylor and Lorde have given people reason to believe that they are more than just friends.
Lorde and Taylor Swift have been spotted together quite a bit this year and this has sparked some additional chatter involving Swift’s relationship with her other BFF, Selena Gomez. Despite reports that the two girls are no longer friends, they were spotted partying together at the MET Gala in NYC earlier this month. That rumor was instantly debunked.
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are extremely close and truly value their friendship. They have both been through a lot but they have managed to stay close, which has been key. Being friends for a long period of time — especially in Hollywood — is rare, but it makes a big difference according to Swift.
Swift seems lucky in the friend department anyway.
