Justin Bieber To Introduce Dance Crews On ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

If you’re a fan of FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” news that Justin Bieber is joining Season 11 to introduce and welcome dance crews to the contest for the first time will either delight or depress you.

The polarizing but popular superstar and his longtime choreographer, Nick DeMoura, are set to introduce two dance crews from around the country in each of the four audition episodes. The crews are a new element being added to the show.

Bieber and DeMoura’s introductions to the dance crews will launch season 11 of “So You Think You Can Dance” with a two-hour premiere on Wednesday, May 28.

No doubt FOX are hoping Bieber’s fans — known as Beliebers — will add to dipping viewing figures. Last year’s series finale pulled a record low in audience figures, reportedly down 13 percent from the previous season’s finale.

With that in mind, voting on the dance crews will be Twitter-centric. Fans will be able to tweet support for their favorite of the two dance crews that appear in each of the four episodes by using hashtags revealed in the show.

At the end of those auditions, the dance crew with the most Twitter support will get to perform in the ” SYTYCD” Season 11 finale.

Noting, Bieber has nearly 52 million Twitter followers, bringing in the Canadian superstar to the series could be a great move by FOX.

As well as Bieber and DeMoura as new guest hosts, spanking new guest judges for Season 11 have been announced to join regulars, Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy.

These include: Wayne Brady (New Orleans), Jenna Dewan-Tatum (atlanta), Billy Porter and Misty Copeland (Philadelphia), Jenna Elfman and Fabrice Calmels (Chicago) and Christina Applegate (in Los Angeles). All of whom will decide which dancers will go through.

Meanwhile, Bieber has been out in Cannes, France partying during the famous Film Festival.

The 20-year-old mixed up his packed South of France visit with club nights and hypeman fun with Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes and A-list parties.

This past week, Bieber partied at Vanity Fair and Giorgio Armani’s bash at the Hotel du Cap d’Antibes, Roberto Cavalli’s yacht party, amfAR’s 21st Cinema Against AIDS Gala, and also attended Friday’s Amber Lounge fashion show in Monte Carlo, Monaco’s Le Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel ahead of the city’s Grand Prix.

“So You Think You Can Dance” premieres May 28 on Fox at 8 pm. E.T.
