Mass Effect lead gameplay designer Christina Norman joins Riot Games

Last week, Mass Effect 2 lead gameplay designer Christina Norman announced on her blog that she had picked up a new job over in California. And now, we know who her new employer is: Riot Games, the developer behind League of Legends.

“I am thankful for my experience working on the Mass Effect series at BioWare, and think that Mass Effect 3 is going to be the best game in the series,” Norman told Gamasutra. “I’m looking forward to working with Riot on innovative new approaches to game design and game development in the rapidly-changing video game market,”

Norman will (apparently) be working on League of Legends, Riot Games’ free-to-play take on the Dota genre. In her stead, Mass Effect 1 and 2 lead designer Preston Watamaniuk has taken over Norman’s role at BioWare as lead gameplay designer.
