NYC Restaurant Week Begins, Over 320 Eateries Involved

Restauranteurs all over New York City began participating in Restaurant week on Monday, offering price fixed lunch and dinner menus.

According to NYC & Company restaurants taking part in the marketing promotion are offering 3-course meals for the same price they sold them for in 2006 ($24.07 for lunch and $35 for dinner) marking a vastly discounted appeal for foodies who may find food in the city to be overpriced.

The event has grown leaps and bounds since 1992 when the NYC marketing, tourism and partnership organization says just 95 restaurants from throughout the city participated in the event.

Restaurant Week Summer 2011 will end on July 24.

What participating restaurants would you suggest visiting for people who might not be in the “know.”
