Monica and Shannon Brown Renew Wedding Vows

R&B singer Monica has married professional NBA athlete Shannon Brown – for the second time.

The couple, who officially tied the knot last November in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home, wanted to share their special day with close friends and family, so they organized a much larger second ceremony which took place this weekend.

According to People magazine, Monica, 30, and Brown, 25, exchanged their vows in front of a packed house at the renovated 19th century Vibiana cathedral in downtown LA on Saturday.

Guests that joined to celebrate the happy couple’s special day included Brown’s teammates, Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher, along with other stars such as Ciara, Cee-Lo Green, Ashanti, Nelly, Polow Da Don, Lala Vasquez, and Ludacris, who is also godfather to Monica’s two sons.

Before she became Mrs. Brown for the second time, Monica, who met the Mr. Brown while shooting her music video “Love All Lover Me,” took to Twitter to express her overwhelming joy.

“Today baby me and u gonna be us,” she wrote. “We officially become one!… Love u baby.”
