Meredith Vieira Show Welcomes New Band Leader And Announcer

NBCUUniversal Domestic Television Distribution announced on Monday that The Meredith Vieira Show is about to welcome Everett Bradley as band leader and Jon Harris as announcer.

Bradley is known to be an accomplished musician who plays with Bruce Springsteen’s famed E Street Band. For his part, Harris has enjoyed an illustrious career as a spokesman for some of the biggest corporations in the world and most recently served as chief communications officer for the Hillshire Brands Company.

Meredith Vieira is clearly thrilled about her new show mates as she alluded to in a statement she also released on Monday:

“Everett and Jon are like brothers to me and will be a great presence as we encourage guests and viewers to be brave and be their true selves. They both bring an authentic kindness and a great sense of humor to our friendship that I am eager to share with our audience,” she said.

The Chicago Business Journal published an article on May 6 announcing the new show, which is slated to hit screens in September. Vieira is best remembered and loved as the host on “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” for over a decade from 2002-2013.

According to an article posted May 7 on Newsday, Terry Crews, actor and former NFL player, will be the new host of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” beginning in September 2014.

The additions to The Meredith Vieira Show of the announcer and band leader are great ones, and the show seems to have a solid team in place. What remains to be seen is whether or not it will have the right mix and deliver quality entertainment when it debuts.
