Filming for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay resumed earlier this week in Paris as cast members including Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen), Josh Hutcherson (Peeta Mellark), Liam Hemsworth (Gale Hawthorne), Sam Claflin (Finnick Odair), and many more were spotted in various locations. Mockingjay, which just recently wrapped in Atlanta, will soon move on to complete filming in Berlin at the famous Templehof airport.
Fans and paparazzi alike were keeping the internet informed when it came to shooting for Mockingjay. Initial photographs that emerged showed hundreds of Hunger Games extras in Capitol attire slowly plodding down the street in what is likely an evacuation scene. Video eventually emerged showing Mockingjay stars Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth being filmed exiting a shop, which is most likely the shop of Tigris, a woman who shelters Katniss’ Star Squad 451 for a time.
Later in the week, Mockingjay moved on to film at an apartment complex in Noisy-le-Grand, filming a large scale battle sequence with Peacekeepers and Star Squad 451, with multiple videos and photos popping up on Instagram and Twitter as the complex’s residents eagerly watched Hunger Games epicness unfold right in their “front yard,” so to speak.
In the above photo, Mockingjay’s Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Natalie Dormer (Cressida), and Evan Ross (Messalla) walk around on set in a tiered garden area located in the center of the “palacio” section of the complex.
In this next image, you get a better view of what the place looks like. Clearly Paris knows how to make amazing apartment buildings. After some night shoots, Hunger Games golden girl Jennifer Lawrence jetted to the states to attend the world premiere of X-Men: Days of Future Past in New York.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay will be released on November 21, 2014.
