Hannah Montana is officially dead in the mind of Miley Cyrus, but that isn’t stopping countless fans from fondly remembering the singer’s days on the Disney Channel.
Although the “Wrecking Ball” songstress is more interested in wearing chaps and staging controversial concerts, there’s apparently still some interest in her old television series Hannah Montana. If you’re still hoping Miley Cyrus will tackle the role of Hannah Montana one more time, then this is probably as close as you’re going to get to new material. At this stage in the game, it’s very doubtful that the singer will embark on another Montana-oriented adventure. Unless her career comes grinding to a painful halt or she’s smacked with a large stick of wicked nostalgia, it’s safe to say that Hannah Montana is dead and gone.
The Inquisitr previously reported that Cyrus was starting to feel smothered by her role on Disney’s popular sitcom. In Dolly Parton’s opinion, her goddaughter had to break free from the character in order to move on with her life and career.
“If I didn’t know how smart and talented Miley is, I might worry about her. She was very proud of the work she did as Hannah Montana, but people were gonna leave her there forever. And she was just smotherin’ and chokin’ in it. So she felt she had to do something completely drastic,” Parton recently explained.
