Rebecca Grant Is Suddenly Famous — For Possibly The Stupidest Reason Ever
Rebecca Grant became nationally famous this week — we want to say “overnight,” but it didn’t even take that long. That’s the nature of fame in the era of instantaneous social media. But even in this era when people can become famous for almost any idiotic reason, with no discernable talent or achievement to their credit whatsoever, the reason why Rebecca Grant is suddenly a household name is even more stupefying than most.
Grant is a 45-year-old small-time actress, who on her Twitter account describes herself as a “Sexy NFL hostess on Fox sports and ESPN.”
Just by the fact that she feels the need to describe her own self as “sexy,” you probably see where this is going.
Rebecca Grant has also managed to endorse several products, appear in small film and TV roles and get some modeling work, primarily on the strength of her obvious good looks.
The Buffalo, New York, native also counts herself as a serious basketball fan — and specifically, a fan of the Los Angeles Clippers. Grant was seated just a few rows back from courtside for Saturday night’s nationally televised Game 7 playoff matchup between the Clippers and the Golden State Warriors, when at an especially tense moment in the fourth quarter — this happened:

Did you catch that? If not, what you missed was that for a split second, just before running her hands through her hair, Rebecca Grant appears to grab her breasts and give them a brief, but vigorous, upward push.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is all you have to do to become an instant viral media sensation. The Rebecca Grant “boob grab” was immediately converted into a Vine video and posted on what seems like every sports site and blog in the known universe.
But as much as viewers appeared to enjoy Rebecca’s cleavage adjustment, many were skeptical of her claim — in her tweet above — to have been unaware that she was on camera at that moment. While Grant was not particularly well known before her breast-grabbing moment, she was not lacking in experience in front of a TV camera.
On the other hand, maybe her TV experience hasn’t really sunk in. As she has embraced, so to speak, her sudden fame, Rebecca Grant has appeared on numerous TV interview programs, including this one on Fox News, where she apparently does not realize that she is actually on the air, live. There was once a time when people actually had to do something at least a little bit noteworthy to become famous on the boob tube, but judging by that interview appearance, Rebecca Grant knows exactly what got her there, and she’s all good with that.
