Britney Spears’ Dad Gets Vegas Money As Daughter Gets Sued
This week, two Britney Spears’ songs have taken on very different meanings for the Vegas star. “Piece of Me” would refer to news that Brit’s dad, Jamie, will be getting a good chunk of money for the work he’s doing to help with his daughter’s Vegas residency, this according to Mail Online.
Another Spears hit — her first one ever — is coming back to haunt her as well. “(Hit Me) Baby, One More Time” could be used in reference to Britney allegedly “hitting” one of her dancers.
According to E! Online, Britney is in hot water after she allegedly hit one of her dancers (by mistake, naturally) and the result wasn’t pretty. The dancer, Dawn Noel, claims that Britney “forcefully backhanded” her in the face — breaking her nose.
Britney Spears’ people reportedly told Noel that they would cover her medical expenses but later took it back. Noel had no choice but to file a lawsuit.
E! Online reports:
“Noel is demanding a jury trial. She is suing for serious physical and emotional damages including disfigurement to her nose as well as severe emotional distress and anxiety.”
As far as Britney’s dad goes, he’s already getting a decent amount of dough as a co-conservator of Britney’s estate but he recently asked a judge for more money since he’s been doing a lot of work with Brit in Vegas.
Court documents obtained by Radar Online state:
“Mr. Spears has been and will be providing primary responsibility for negotiations with regard to all key aspects of the LV Show, global oversight of the LV Show production and logistics, making all final production calls on site.”
Britney Spears doesn’t seem to concern herself too much with what her dad does — since he supports her and could be the very reason that her career didn’t completely tank. Jamie Spears stepped in when everyone else had Britney crossed off and his efforts helped get her on the right path again. And so, if he is working on her tour, he should be compensated, don’t you think?
As far as the nose-break case, Brit’s people will likely settle out of court. There really isn’t a need for them to drag this out and there’s enough money in the “Britney-fund” that no one should worry about stuff like this.
