Killers Of Sex Offender Kiss, Smile, And Yell, ‘That’s What Child Molesters Get’ During Trial

A Union County, South Carolina couple who carried out a plan to kill a registered sex offender and his wife was in court Tuesday and showed little remorse when they were sentenced to life in prison, with one shouting: “That’s what child molesters get.”

Jeremy Moody, 30, and his wife, Christine Moody, 36, pleaded guilty of murder in the deaths of, on July 21, 2013.

The Union County couple, who continued to look at one another lovingly throughout the trial, also pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping and possession of a weapon during commission of crime of first-degree burglary.

Jeremy Moody pleaded guilty to all charges first. His wife did the same thing just minutes later.

According to WYFF News 4, after Christine Moody pleaded guilty, the judge asked, “Has anyone promised you anything in exchange for your plea?”

Christine Moody answered, “Just fame and fortune.”

USA Today reported that the couple initially apologized to the judge and asked for a 30-year sentence so they could see their children and grow old together. But after Judge Lee Alford handed down the maximum punishment, they shared a brief kiss and then shouted before the court, “See you perverts later,” Jeremy Moody shouted at the victim’s family as he walked out of court. “That’s what child molesters get.”

If the court and those in attendance thought that was bad enough, Christine Moody walked in shackles to a police car outside of the courthouse where she told reporters: “Killing that pedophile was the best day of my life.”

According to reports the Moody’s attended church the day they killed Charles and Gretchen Parker. While the accused killers were in service, they concocted the plans to kill the mechanic and anyone else in his home.

Jeremy and Christina Moody drove to the Parker’s home and popped the hood like they were having car trouble, according to police reports. When Parker came out to help, Jeremy Moody pulled a gun and ordered him inside.

The couple told the Parker’s the exact reason why they were there and why they were going to kill them, prosecutor Kevin Brackett said.

Jeremy Moody was said to have shot the couple, then his wife stabbed them. A surveillance camera on Parker’s land caught them leaving, and deputies recognized Jeremy Moody from the word “skinhead” tattooed on his neck and the “Made in America” tattoo on the side of his head.

Both were convicted of murder, kidnapping and first-degree burglary.

During the trial the couple told authorities they had killed others, but investigators found no evidence of other crimes, Brackett said.
