Dannielynn Birkhead: Anna Nicole Smith’s Daughter All Grown Up, Following In Mom’s Footsteps

Dannielynn Birkhead is far from the baby girl left orphaned after the tragic death of her mother Anna Nicole Smith, and is now following in mom’s footsteps into the world of modeling and entertainment.

Now 7, Dannielynn is slowing moving out from her once private life to take after her mom’s career as a model and television personality. This week Dannielynn and her father Larry Birkhead showed up to the Kentucky Derby, which has become something of a tradition for the Louisville residents.

Dannielynn Birkhead was photographed in a pink tulle skirt and a set of matching butterfly fascinator and sandals, looking like a proper little lady.

Dannielynn and her dad had been quiet for the past few months after a one-hour special, After Anna Nicole: The Larry & Dannielynn Story, aired late last year. But she now appears to be making a move into the entertainment world, and will be seen on the Season 3 finale of Celebrity Wife Swap along with her unmarried dad (who is actually swapping his sister in the episode).

Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter already made a move into the world of modeling, appearing in a campaign for Guess Kids when she was still 6. Anna modeled for Guess back in 1992, shortly after she appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine.

Larry Birkhead said he was nice for his daughter to emulate her mother, though said modeling wouldn’t become a full-time career just yet.

“Dannielynn had fun paying tribute to her mom with the Guess ad campaign, but it is back to school for her which is her focus, Birkhead said. “The first thing she asked is ‘When will I be on the shopping bags like Mommy?’ I know that Anna’s looking at this and seeing how great this will be.”

She may be taking it easy now, but if Dannielynn Birkhead continues on the same course as her mom people should get used to seeing her on television and magazine covers.
