Donald Sterling Looks ‘Puffy’ Due To Prostate Cancer?

Does Donald Sterling have cancer? According to multiple reports, the Los Angeles Clippers owner has been battling prostate cancer for a few years. His prognosis isn’t good — according to TMZ, some people expected him to die two years ago. According to the report, the medication that Sterling takes as part of his cancer treatment has caused his face to look “puffy.”

News of Sterling’s ailment comes on the heels of his NBA suspension following some racist remarks he made. Even still, some people are willing to look past said remarks and show support for the millionaire.

Clippers player Blake Griffin said the following:

“If that is true, my thoughts and prayers are with him. Nobody deserves to go through something like that.”

Donald Sterling battled cancer quietly for an unknown amount of years but the timing of the news going public certainly is suspect. Naturally there are some people who wonder if the news was fabricated to get people to feel sorry for Sterling instead of just hating him. The 80-year-old might be fighting a fight that the public knows nothing about — but does that make-up for the fact that he made racist comments?

According to The Chicago Tribune, the Clippers nor the NBA were available to comment on the cancer news. Instead, focus has been on Sterling’s next move professionally. Will he give up ownership of the LA-based team or will he fight to keep his name in the game?

If Donald Sterling doesn’t have cancer and the public finds out about it, this guy will be toast. If he does have cancer, he may use it as his reasoning for leaving the team on “his terms” even though it’s pretty clear that he would be leaving for other reasons (like everyone pretty much hates him). Even still, it’s going to be hard for Sterling to find some common ground with people given the fact that his own mouth pretty much ruined him on every level.

The Chicago Tribune reports:

“The scandal has angered fans and players, and numerous commercial sponsors have pulled their support from the team, before and after the NBA moved to expel Sterling.”

At the same time, there are still some people who don’t mind Donald Sterling. As previously reported by Inquisitr.com, not everyone is ready to write this guy off. Several have shown their support for Sterling and that could be enough for him to find a solid leg to stand on.
