Miley Cyrus Steps Up The Controversy With NSFW Bondage Music Video

Something controversial involving Miley Cyrus? How could that be?

Well, controversy and Miley Cyrus have become almost synonymous in the past year or so. Although there were minor instances of ‘scandal’ in her Hannah Montana days, it wasn’t until 2013 that the world was introduced to the twerking, teddy bear corrupting, nude swinging, sledgehammer licking version of Miley. As a result, very few people today associate the name “Miley Cyrus” with that child that was on that Disney show once. Hannah Montana? No way. That had to be another girl.

Whatever her childhood once held, Cyrus seems intent on killing that image and replacing it with another version that can only be described as a mutation of Madonna, circa Express Yourself, without the cause.

Miley’s newest controversy is a video from her Bangerz tour. Nowness posted the heavily not-safe-for-work (NSFW) video online for the first time on May 1.

The 2 minute video, entitled “Miley Cyrus: Tongue Tied,” is used to open the Bangerz tour and was directed by Quentin Jones. “Stockholm Syndrome,” is the name of the track it’s set to.

In some ways, it shows that she might have been paying homage to the Grace Jones, “Slave to the Rhythm,” album cover. In other ways, it seems like more of a teaser for some random bondage porn film.

Cyrus is seen in the video wearing nothing by fishnets, latex underwear and pasties over her nipples. At times, she is seen suspended from the ceiling, or being choked by what look like latex straps. Near the end of the video, Miley spends roughly 30 seconds just gyrating and rubbing black oil over her torso.

It isn’t all sexual, though. The hardcore bondage aspect is interrupted in several places by cartoonish eyes, mouths and masks. The video also showcases Miley’s well-known tongue-out move that has become a kind of trademark for the performer.

The video is shown at the end of this article, but please be aware, before watching, that it would have a hard R-rating.

There has been some speculation as to the reasons behind the timing of the video’s release. The popular theory is that Miley Cyrus wanted to give her fans something new after she was forced to cancel a few shows in her Bangerz tour due to illness. Whether or not that’s the real reason is anyone’s guess, but the timing does seem to match.
