Ariana Grande Doesn’t Have A Type, But She’s Finished Dating Good Boys

Ariana Grande is on the prowl for a new boyfriend, but those who consider themselves good guys need not apply.

In case you don’t remember, the “Problem” singer was previously entangled with The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes. The pair even recorded a song together for the Mortal Instruments: City of Bones soundtrack. “Almost is Never Enough” wasn’t a huge hit for the pair, but it was definitely a high point in their relationship.

Unfortunately for those who couldn’t get enough of Ariana Grande and Sykes, the couple decided to call it quits towards the tail end of 2013. The Sam & Cat star apparently put her love life on the back burner while she focused on the hit Nickelodeon show and her upcoming album. However, that doesn’t mean she has abandoned boys altogether.

According to E Online, Ariana recently opened up about what’s she looking for in a boyfriend. Judging from her comments, Nathan has soured her taste for good boys for the moment. Instead, Grande seems interested in finding someone who’s a bit more rough around the edges.

“[I like a guy with] lots of tattoos… I don’t really have a type, type. But I love guys that can make me laugh. I love funny guys, I love a bad boy. I tried the good boy thing for a minute and I was like, ‘No, Oh my gosh, that won’t work,'” she told the outlet.

Although she wouldn’t mind someone special to wrap her arms around, Ariana Grande seems more interested in getting her sophomore album off the ground. Her lead single “Problem,” a collaboration with rapper Iggy Azalea, is reportedly off to a strong start on the charts. This is thanks in part to all the hard work Grande put in to promoting the track on social media.

Of course, Azalea isn’t the only artist who’s helping Ariana craft a hit record. Radio.com reports that the singer is teaming up with DJ and electronic music producer Zedd on a dance tune. Grande described their collaboration as “fantastic and super-experimental.”

“I never thought I’d do an EDM song, but that was an eye-opening experience, and now all I want to do is dance,” she recently told Billboard.

She added, “I never thought I’d be able to say this, but I love this [album] five times as much as I love ‘Yours Truly.’ They’re different, but I love this one so much more.”

While Ariana Grande could find a bad boy to fill her romantic needs, chances are you’re going to hear more about her next album than her love life in the coming days. “Problem” is available for download now.
