Naya Rivera Is Not Leaving ‘Glee’, Despite Reports

Naya Rivera, who was the subject of reports earlier this week alleging that she was leaving the show Glee, is not actually leaving. The reports are now believed by most people to be false.

On Monday, the New York Daily News reported that, due to the falling out and ongoing feud between Naya Rivera and Lea Michele, the former was fired from the show after yet another blowup with Michele and an argument with producers.

A rep for Rivera told the Hollywood Reporter that the rumors simply weren’t true: “Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story,” they said.

That being said, reps for the show’s producers, 20th Century Fox Television, declined to make any comment to the press about Rivera’s status fueling the rumors that she was fired.

Details of the ongoing feud between the two co-stars only came to light earlier this month, following reports that the real tension was between Rivera and the producers, and not so much with Michele.

A number of sources have vehemently denied reports that Naya Rivera has been banned from even attending the Glee set, or that she cleaned out her trailer.

Rivera has continued all along to voice her support for the show, sending out a bunch of Tweets urging her more than 1.6 million followers to watch the show regularly.

The show and its stars have been through a lot in the past year. As well as the tragic death of the show’s star Cory Monteith, Michele recently ended her engagement to rapper Big Sean.

Due to a production hiatus, the show’s current fifth season has been reduced from 22 to 20 episodes and has also seen a steep ratings dip to an all time ratings low this season.
