WWE News: Daniel Bryan Set To Return To WWE RAW This Week

WWE has seemingly found their next MAN in Daniel Bryan. Bryan is the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and was in the main event of WrestleMania 30 after beating Triple H earlier in the night to be able to do so. Bryan was one of two men to wrestle twice on WrestleMania this past year. Cesaro worked a tag match on the pre-show then won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

Daniel Bryan seemingly had the greatest few weeks of his life. He won the WWE World Heavyweight title, main evented WrestleMania, and then married his fiance Brie Bella. It was quite a time for the bearded hero, then all the sudden Daniel Bryan hears at RAW last week that his father passed away.

WWE quickly wrote off Daniel Bryan’s character, but already set a match for him to be in at Extreme Rules, where he will defend his championship. WWE had his opponent for ER, Kane, attack Bryan so that he could be out for an extended period of time without any wondering from the fans.

Yet, like a good professional and company man, Daniel Bryan decided he would be back on RAW this week. WWE announced this on SmackDown this past week. He may not have a major role in the show, but Bryan WILL be at the event.

Many people have wondered why he decided to come back to quickly. WWE used the diagnosis of a stinger for Bryan so that he could have a valid reason to stay out for a few weeks to be with his family. However, anyone who has lost a family member may be able to tell you that thinking about it for a long time can make it worse.

So Daniel Bryan, in my opinion, is doing the right thing. He can go back to work, be with his new wife, and then move on. While his father is gone, Bryan will always remember him. As a person who lost his father years ago, I can tell you that it is quite a blow to hear the news. Yet going back to school, work, etc. makes things easier.

It may make Bryan want to work twice as hard, because now his father is always watching. It doesn’t matter which city he is in, which show he is on, and what age he will be…his father will be with him. Bryan seems to understand this well.

WWE is very family oriented and wanted to give him all the time he needed. So it’s not as if WWE demanded he get back to work quickly. It was Daniel Bryan’s choice. Now one has to wonder how WWE will build the Kane/Bryan rivalry. Will they have Bryan take out Kane in a similar way?

The only thing we know thus far is that Stephanie McMahon is set to “apologize” to Daniel Bryan on RAW this week. What kind of apology that is, we do not know. WWE has a lot of room with Kane and Daniel Bryan because there is such a history between the two. So it will be interesting to see how WWE will go about using the two of them, and what match the two can have at Extreme Rules.
