Rita Ora Says ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Was A ‘Good Learning Curve’

Rita Ora learned a few things while shooting the highly-anticipated adaptation of E.L. James’ popular novel Fifty Shades of Grey.

Although the singer is extremely busy promoting her latest single “I Will Never Let You Down,” she’s also spreading the good word about her appearance in the aforementioned motion picture. If all goes according to plan, then the flick will hit theaters in time for Valentine’s Day next year.

According to the Irish Examiner, Rita Ora — who tackles the role of Mia Grey in the film — was understandably thrilled to appear in the flick. She also enjoyed working with actress Dakota Johnson, who will portray Anastasia Steele in the adaptation.

“Working with Dakota was extremely fun she’s just so gorgeous so it kind of distracts you a little bit, but I mean she’s a really great… she’s an amazing actress so I’m like learning things from her,” Ora explained to MTV News.

In addition to providing Rita with an opportunity to strengthen her acting abilities, Fifty Shades of Grey gave the singer an opportunity to learn French. In other words, the adaptation was an extremely good learning experience for the songstress.

“[Mia Grey] doesn’t know about his fantasies yet, but she’s extremely involved and loves him and she studies in France, speaks French, and it was a good learning curve for me,” she explained.

Rita Ora continued, “I had a brown wig on and I was being the smart girl that came from French school to see her family, so it was just a lot of dedication, it was like going back to school.”

Although she isn’t involved in any of Christian Grey’s sexual shenanigans, this doesn’t mean Ora doesn’t like to keep things kinky in the bedroom. The Inquisitr previously reported that Rita isn’t above using a few toys when she’s ready to get up close and personal with boyfriend Calvin Harris.

“I mean, I like a whip. This is why Fifty Shades is perfect for me because I really love the book. But I like unexpected stuff. A tiny bit of [pain], not too much,” she recently explained during her interview on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club.

She also discussed her increasingly serious relationship with Harris. Ora said, “I think [he’s] ready for us to go away together, I haven’t been away with him in a long time. I want to take my weave out, so it will be nice to spend some quality time.”
