Lindsay Lohan’s Miscarriage Mocked By Joan Rivers

Lindsay Lohan is the latest victim of Joan Rivers’ extremely dark sense of humor.

The Mean Girls star revealed on a recent episode of Lindsay that she had a miscarriage while filming the OWN docu-series. Although the program chronicles the troubled actress’ life, Lohan apparently didn’t want the emotional aftermath of this event captured by cameras. However, she did open up about the situation and the toll it took on her well-being.

“No one knows this: I had a miscarriage for those two weeks I took off. It’s a very long story,” Lindsay Lohan explained on the season finale of her series.

She continued, “That’s why, on the show when it says, ‘She doesn’t want to come down,’ I couldn’t move; I was sick. Mentally, that messes with you.”

Although miscarriages are certainly no laughing matter, controversial Fashion Police co-host Joan Rivers obviously didn’t get the memo. Just days after she came under fire for making fun of Ariel Castro’s kidnapping victims, Rivers decided to have a little fun at Lindsay Lohan’s expense.

According to The Huffington Post, the subject of Lindsay Lohan and her miscarriage came up during a brief chat Rivers had with TMZ. As always, the comedienne didn’t shy away from saying something impossibly tasteless.

“I hope she kept it,” River said as her daughter Melissa cringed in response. “Excuse me, what do you think I am? I was born with a coat hanger in my ear.”

While Lindsay Lohan is frequently the subject of mockery from just about everyone on the planet, picking on the actress for enduring such a sensitive experience is akin to kicking someone while they’re down. This is bad joke even for someone as notoriously inappropriate as Joan Rivers.

Of course, Lindsay Lohan isn’t the only person Joan Rivers has inappropriately picked on in recent days. The comedienne came under fire after she made fun of Cleveland kidnapping victims Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus on Today.

After joking about how much space the victims had while living in Castro’s home, Rivers continued making fun of the situation during a chat with TMZ. She said, “They got to live rent free for more than a decade… One of them has a book deal. Neither are in a psych ward. They’re okay. I bet you within three years one of them will be on ‘Dancing with the Stars.'”
