Cameron Diaz Helped Drew Barrymore For Birth Of Second Daughter [Video]

Looks like Drew Barrymore received extra help from her good friend and Charlie’s Angels co-star Cameron Diaz on the delivery of her second daughter Frankie. The famous friends have gone on many vacations together, so it’s not a surprise that Cameron was pumped to talk about Barrymore and the arrival of her new baby while promoting her new comedy The Other Woman.

The actress opened up on how overjoyed she was for her friend Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman on the arrival of newborn Frankie while on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.

The 41-year-old exclaimed, “We had a baby girl!” Referring to Barrymore’s new arrival. Diaz was very excited to welcome her best friend’s second child into the world.

“I’m very excited. I’m going home this weekend and I’m going to meet her right away. Little baby Frankie Barrymore Kopelman!” Fallon added how much he loved the unique name choice: “Frankie is so cute! I love it.”

Cameron, who was obviously over the moon for her friend Drew Barrymore and the new addition explained that she helped her out with Drew’s “game face” before she gave birth.

“I feel like I know her already. This weekend I spent with her and Will. On Saturday I got her game face on for the birth, making sure she was ready. And she said, ‘I’m so ready! Get it out of me!’ I was like, ‘Two more days! You can do it.”

As previously reported Drew and her husband Will welcomed their second daughter on April 22. The couple who have been married for two years are parents to their daughter Olive, 19 months.

Back in February Barrymore discussed her second pregnancy. In an interview with the Huffington Post, Barrymore was coy to reveal the name that she was giving her second daughter.

“I do, but I think I’m going to keep it a secret because my husband and I haven’t told anyone yet, so if I came home and said, ‘I told Huffington Post our working title.’ [Laughs] That would be interesting.”

Although Barrymore was anxious to give birth the last time Cameron Diaz visited her, at the time she told the site that it’s been pretty easy.

“In some ways it’s really similar. There’s a little less worry because you know what’s happening. But, all is great right now.”

In addition to her new bundle of joy Drew Barrymore also has a new film coming out opposite Adam Sandler called Blended.
