Kid Rock “Slowing Down” His Party Lifestyle

In a recent interview with Men’s Journal magazine, Bad boy musician Kid Rock revealed that he is learning something that is brand new to him – balance.

“Whatever your thing is, if it’s pills, cocaine, smoking weed, when you slow that down — which I’ve done a lot of — you’ve got to relearn how to drink. That’s the f—ing hardest part. You used to be able to go all night,” Rock told the magazine. “Finding that balance has been interesting. I still black out here and there, but nothing too serious.”

However, one thing the 40-year-old rocker does take seriously is how his hometown of Detroit views him.

“I really care about what people think of me in this town, because my son is here, my family is here, my roots are here. I don’t give a sh– anywhere else, but here I’m very conscious of it.”

Rock, who is currently on tour with Sheryl Crow, released his last album, titled Born Free, in November of 2010. The record, which went platinum last month, features a wide variety of guest artists from across the music spectrum including Martina McBride, T.I., Sheryl Crow, Bob Seger and Zac Brown.
