Backstreet Boys Nick Carter’s Family A No Show At Wedding

Nick Carter finally married his fiance Lauren Kitt in a private ceremony. The crooner exchanged vows with his longtime girlfriend in a very romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, and while the Backstreet Boys were there to witness everything, Nick Carter himself revealed to In Touch that the Carter family was not present for the union. Carter opened up to the magazine with a statement:

“My family’s always had a complicated dynamic. At the end of the day, the people who love us were there.”

That said, there was at least one Carter sibling that had shown some remorse over missing Nick’s wedding. The Backstreet Boy’s younger brother, Aaron, who is also a musician in the industry, Instagrammed a photo of himself on the way to his older brother’s wedding with a frustrated look on his face. Apparently Aaron missed the event due to “technical problems.”

A caption that followed Aaron’s picture read:

“Really pissed off that I missed my brothers wedding today,” Aaron wrote. “I hope he doesn’t hate me.. I tried to get there… I’m sorry bro @nickcarter#technicalProblems.”

The younger Carter had to finish an obligation in Washington D.C. for the annual National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, which he agreed to before Nick had set the wedding date. However, Aaron did make an attempt to hurry back to the West Coast. Either way, Nick’s fellow Backstreet Boys were there, including, AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, and Brian Littrell. Of the ceremony, a witness told US Weekly that AJ’s daughter Ava was part of the ceremony as a flower girl. The 17-month-old flower girl looked “cute as a button.”

Of the nuptials McClean told US Weekly:

“We’re so, so proud of him. He’s been through hell and back, as we all have once in our life here and there. And you know, we’re all family. We’re all brothers.”

Nick Carter’s boy band members all toasted to the newlyweds. Afterward Carter said, “These guys are my family.”

Despite Aaron missing the shindig his brother Nick didn’t seem to take it to heart, or at least didn’t seem to have it on his mind. Showing a great sense of humor, Nick posted an Instagram photo of himself with his wife showing their middle fingers with a caption that read:

“To all the haters that thought it wouldn’t last…I LOVE Mrs Carter! @laurenkitt #ilovemywife #ilovebeinghusband.”

Nick Carter had a falling out with select members of his family after his immediate family blamed him for the death of their sister Leslie, who passed away of a drug overdose in 2012. The Backstreet Boy decided not to attend the funeral as revealed:

“I actually got the phone call from my father that she had passed. Immediately the conversation turned into not about her death and not about the actual passing and what had occurred, but more about themselves. And then I started to get blamed by the rest of the family. I have a large family and they all went there – they were blaming me for the death.”

Hopefully the Carters will eventually mend their severed ties.
