World of Warcraft Goes Free-to-Play (Until Level 20)


Blizzard sent out an email just moments ago to boast in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm‘s Rage of the Firelands patch going live. And then they threw a curveball.

The famed developer has decided to do away with the 14-day trials entirely, opting instead to go the Warhammer Online route by turning the game free-to-play up until level 20.

Not only will new blood get full access to start content up to level 20, they’ll also get access to the two races introduced in the Burning Crusade expansion, the Draenei and the Blood Elves, free of charge.
