‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5: Star Says Viewers Should ‘Be Concerned’ About Group

The Walking Dead has ended its fourth season with Rick Grimes and company in another fine mess. Now one of the stars of the show is offering up a few hints about what we can expect next season when Walking Dead Season 5 kicks off in the fall.

Warning: Here There Be Spoilers

As The Walking Dead season 4 wound up, we saw Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Carl (Chandler Riggs) reuniting with those he was split up with when the prison was attacked. While that should be a happy occasion, it turns out the Grimes Gang didn’t find the others until they were herded into a train car at Terminus.

The group seems to be in pretty dire straights, though Grimes also seems pretty confident that he and his friends are going to get out of this situation in tact mainly because the Terminus folks “don’t know who they’re messing with.”

It seems that if The Walking Dead group does all make it out alive, it isn’t going to be that easy. Gurira has recently talked to Access Hollywood about what fans can expect and viewers are right to “be concerned” according to the actress who plays one of the biggest toughies on Walking Dead.

“It’s a dire circumstance, definitely,” she hinted according to Digital Spy. “These people are not very nice. We’re not checked into the Four Seasons in there, so yeah, it’s a pretty scary thing.

These members of the group have been in plenty of different jams when it comes to Walking Dead but Gurira seems to be hinting this situation is going to be one of their most dire. The season is still a long ways off but the actress seems especially pleased she knows things about what’s going to go on in Walking Dead.

The woman who plays Michonne seems to feel as though she is finally part of the insiders group on the cast. She’s now among the people on Walking Dead who get to know what the Grimes Gang is going to have to deal with long before they actually have to go through it.

Gurira isn’t letting too much slip about the upcoming season but she did want to make sure viewers knew there are going to be some trials and tribulations for the gang next fall. “I can tell you that it’s gonna be dire and it’s gonna be intense,” she explained. “It’s all the things you tune in to see. It’ll be that and then some.”

The Walking Dead kicks off this fall in the US and UK and will have a couple of new cast members viewers will need to familiarize themselves with.
