Dave Chappelle Shows Off Buff, Dramatic New Look

Dave Chappelle is a bean pole no more.

The comedian, once noted for his lanky appearance, has been bulking up lately and unveiled his dramatic body change at an appearance in Los Angeles. Dave wore a sleeveless shirt that showed off his growing arms, and in another fan photo made it clear that he’s been spending a lot of time at the gym.

Fans who have been awaiting Chappelle’s return may get a chance to see more of the dramatic body change. The comedian, who slipped out of the spotlight in 2005 when he left his critically acclaimed Chappelle Show, has been slowly stepping back into show business.

Last year he co-headlined the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, sponsored by Funny or Die, and this summer will be performing Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Dave Chappelle is still making headlines for his behavior as well. Last year he walked off stage at a show in Hartford, Connecticut, with initial reports saying that he was fed up with a group within the audience who wouldn’t stop making noise.

The Laugh Button reported that Chappelle was on stage approximately 10 minutes before the crowd got too unruly, so he spent his time in stage reading a book, smoking, and talking to some people in the audience.

“Chappelle tried to work through the yelling, and he told people he wasn’t telling any jokes until they quieted down. And they didnt,” Mike Wellman explained on the micro-blogging site. “At one point Chappelle told the crowd, ‘If someone sitting next you is yelling, punch them in the kidney.’ “

They may not want Dave Chappelle to get angry this time around, given his massive guns.
