Two unattended backpacks have been found near the Boston Marathon finish line on Boylston Street. Police have evacuated the area and have confirmed that a suspect is in custody via Twitter.

Police spokesman Dave Estrada confirms with AP that the backpacks were found Tuesday evening, one year after the Boston Marathon bombing which took three lives.

Trains are bypassing the area and police urge pedestrians to stay clear as they investigate.

Today was filled with tributes to first responders, survivors and those who perished during last year’s Boston Marathon bombing.

CBS News reports that Boston, MA bomb squad detonated the first backpack on Boylston St. shortly before 9 p.m. and the second backpack was detonated roughly 40 minutes later.
