The Tampa Bay Lightning narrowly edged the Montreal Canadiens for second place in the Atlantic Division, giving the Lightning home ice advantage. Tampa Bay finished the season with 101 points, Montreal finished with 100. Second and third place were contested until the very end of the season, as reported earlier by Inquisitr.

Bishop and the Montreal Canadiens’ Carey Price have both been among the top net minders in the league over the course of the season. If Bishop is unable to play, the Lightning will be backstopped by Kristers Gudlevskis – who was stellar in Olympic play for Latvia – or Anders Lindback, who has been spectacular filling in for Bishop this week. Fox Sports reports that Linback was honored with the NHL’s first star for his play last week, as he posted a remarkable 0.67 GAA in three games.
