Roseanne Barr has a trim new figure, and the actress and activist showed off the shocking weight loss at an event in California this week.
Roseanne debuted the look at the NBCUniversal Summer Press Day, wearing skinny black pants and a belted blouse that highlighted her big change in weight.
The look was noticed by many of her fans, prompting hundreds to tweet messages of support and encouragement. Roseanne thanked the fans for noticing the change, and said she still had more of a transformation in mind.
“hey, THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR ALL OF THE NICE WORDS ABOUT MY WEIGHT LOSS! I’m inspired 2 keep going!” Barr tweeted.
Roseanne Barr has always been open about her image, admitting to a number of plastic surgery procedures during the run of her hit sitcom Roseanne. She also had gastric bypass surgery in 1998.
But while she’s gotten work done herself, Roseanne has still been critical of Hollywood’s obsession with image.
“Nips and tucks are OK if people feel they want to do that,” she told WebMD. “It comes from feeling insecure though… it’s like a walking ad for ‘insecure.’ “
But Barr has never been one to bit her tongue. Late last year she went on a Twitter rampage that took aim at Hollywood executives, film studios, and even CNN anchor Anderson Cooper
“I’ve ben disrespected and ripped off by Hollywood. f*** hollywood. f*** every stupid p***k there. Misogynist classist white colonial f***,’ she wrote, ‘f*** these hollywood anti semite b*****d jewish women loathing f***tards… the women in hollywood cannot fall to their knees to suck d*** fast enough.'”
The actress later deleted the tweets and blamed “mental issues.”
Roseanne Barr will have a big audience to show off her dramatic weight loss. She will be serving as a judge on the upcoming season of Last Comic Standing, which will debut May 22. Those who can’t wait that long can see a picture of her transformation by clicking here.
