Imagine Dragons Among Star Studded Lineup At Billboard Music Awards

Imagine Dragons is quite possibly the biggest new band to come out in the last year. For years Imagine Dragons led a very talented local music scene in Las Vegas and now have been rewarded for their talents and efforts. The band had humble beginnings in the smallest bars in Vegas, to playing possibly the best performance at the Grammys, and now part of the stacked list of performers at the Billboard Music Awards along with Lorde, Luke Bryan and John Legend.

The Billboard Music Awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. making it extra sweet for the hometown band, Imagine Dragons.

Imagine Dragons tied Lorde for achieving the most nominations this year with 12. They are hoping to take home awards for Top Artist, Top Duo/Group, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Rock Artist, Top Rock Album, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Digital Song, Top Streaming Song (Audio), and Top Rock Song twice, for “Demons” and “Radioactive.”

Part of Imagine Dragons success is the connection they make with their audience. They are explosive live, emotional, and are known for leaving it all out there every show, every night. Imagine Dragons don’t know what it’s like to have a day off when they’re on tour. In fact, recently the band announced that they need to take time off to finish their sophomore album, Night Vision. To do this, the band canceled some appearances at music festivals in Europe.
