Teenager Who Abused, Humiliated Elderly Woman By Spinning Her Around Only Gets $40 Fine

The teenager who was filmed abusing and humiliating an elderly woman on the street was arrested by the Romanian police force, but sources confirm that the jerk might get away with just a 160 lei ($40) fine.

Metro reported Monday that the teenager, identified by concerned netizens as Eu Geo Offycyall, was caught near the country’s capital, Bucharest and was charged with disturbing public order.

However, there is a huge chance he won’t spend a single night in jail. Reports confirm that Offycyall will only be fined $40 for gravely abusing and humiliating the elderly woman on the street.

On Facebook, Offycyall taunted those who criticized him for what he did to the woman. He said:

“It was just a joke. She wasn’t dying. If you don’t like it, call me.”

Last Friday, the video of Offycyall and some of his friends spinning the elderly woman around in circles while she cried for help went viral, sparking outrage among those who’ve watched the distressing video.

At the beginning of the clip, Offycyall could be seen picking up the elderly woman by her dress and giving her a couple of vigorous spins. The elderly woman’s screams of fear could be heard while Offycyall spun her around in circles. As the elderly woman tried to escape, the teenagers were briefly seen on the video howling in laughter, with Offycyall on the foreground flexing his tiny arm. When the gang egged the teenager to give the elderly woman another round of spinning, he gladly obliged and rushed after the elderly woman, spinning her around more strongly – their laughter drowning the old woman’s cries for help.

The video was reportedly uploaded by Offycyal himself on his Facebook account.

Social media went berserk over the footage. On Facebook and Twitter, netizens expressed their anger and dismay over the horrifying abuse the elderly woman received from the teenagers.

Facebook user Carla Sanders says the appropriate punishment for the teenagers is mandatory service inside an elderly home facility:

“Their punishment should be to have to do community service in an elderly home until they understand that the elderly should be taken care of and respected instead of bullied and tormented.”

Another user, Irene Norton, thinks jail is more apt a punishment for Offycyall and the gang of teens who humiliated the elderly woman:

“THEY NEED TO BE ARRESTED AND PUT IN JAIL.. WHERE THE HELL ARE THERE POLICE. THEY COULD HAVE SERIOUSELY HURT THIS WOMAN. SHAME ON THEM. HOW WOULD THEY FEEL IF SOMEONE DID THAT TO THEIR PARENTS. OH WELL THEY PROBABLY WOULD NOT CARE. I SAY JAIL, JAIL, JAIL.”

Regardless of differing opinions regarding the punishment, everyone agrees that a more severe one should be imposed. Sadly, the teenager will face a much more lenient punishment for humiliating the elderly woman on the street. A mere $40 dollar fine gets him away from such a disgraceful act.
