Jamie Lynn Spears Looks To Sister Britney For Advice: Hopefully Not About Marriage

Jamie Lynn Spears, 23, was happy to show off her (relatively) new hubby, James Watson, 31, as they trod the red carpet together for the first time as as a married couple

Last month, E! News reported that Britney Spears’ younger sister got married in an intimate ceremony in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The couple appeared to be very happy as they walked the red carpet at the 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada last Sunday.

Jamie Lynn spoke to People magazine before the awards ceremony, saying that she she thinks that it’s always a good thing to to take her sister’s advice about performing.

“Your sister is always someone you’re going to look up to,” she said. “We’re in the same kind of industry but different genres, so definitely it’s good to take her advice.”

Elder sister Britney is presently performing under a two year contract at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Sin City.

However, Jamie Lynn did reveal that she is “way less fearless” than she used to be. “I’m older, obviously, and I think I’m probably a little bit wiser, but I’m way less fearless,” she told Vegas magazine earlier this year.

Jamie Lynn Spears relationship history is almost as colorful as that of sister, Britney.

Jamie Lynn had an on-off relationship with Casey Aldridge which started in 2005, when she was under the age of consent according to California law. Which was a problem because she became pregnant from Aldridge when she was only 16 years old.

Eventually the couple split for the last time in 2010, leaving Jamie Lynn with a delightful daughter named Maddie, now aged five.

Things got serious between Jamie Lynn Spears and James Watson about four years ago. But, at that time, Jamie Lynn really didn’t know which way her career was heading and she was unsure about making any form of commitment.

“It was when I was going through this time in my life where my now fiancé, we were kind of in a transition stage. I had just moved to Nashville full-time and I was focusing on being a mom and focusing on my work.”

It’s good that Jamie Lynn Spears seems to have found some stability in her life. At least her first wedding has already lasted longer than that of her elder sister Britney to her first husband, Jason Alexander.

She almost qualified for an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Her marriage was annulled after just 55 hours – unusual even by Hollywood standards.
