Alexa Ray Joel Debuts Sexy New Look, Slams Plastic Surgery Rumors

Alexa Ray Joel has a sexy new look, but the rising star wants everyone to know that plastic surgery has nothing to do with it.

The singer turned heads during her show at The Carlyle Hotel in New York City on Tuesday, showing off a sultry new look. The dramatic difference led to widespread speculation that Joel had gone under the knife, but she quickly shot down the plastic surgery rumors.

In a post to Instagram, Alexa Ray Joel set the record straight, writing:

“On a personal (and slightly ridiculous note): I would just like to add that all of the continuously-circulating rumors that I have had extensive ‘face-work’ and undergone breast-augmentation surgery is simply and entirely 100% false,” she wrote.

“The only thing I have ever had done is my nose, which I have always been completely candid, honest, and open about – and I can swear on my Beloved Gypsy-Stella The Cat that this is the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God! (But hey, there could be worse rumors circulating, so, I’ll take it).”

Alexa, the daughter of singer Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley, has been open about her rhinoplasty surgery, saying in an interview with People magazine that her nose had always bothered her.

Instead of plastic surgery, Alexa Ray Joel said her “brilliant makeup-artist and stylist” was responsible for her sexy new look.

Alexa seems one the verge of a major breakthrough in her career. The singer just started a 12-day residency at the Carlyle, a small venue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side that has played host to some other big names, including cabaret singer Bobby Short.
