Lego is, apparently, the work of Satan, according to a Polish priest.
Father Slawomir Kostrzewa has warned parents that the little plastic toys can actually “destroy” children’s souls, however it isn’t known if he warned them about their infants chocking on the blocks.
Kostrzewa even complied a presentation that he aimed to parents, which was inspired by a recent collection of figures that were dedicated to Monsters and Zombies. He explained that these toys “were about darkness and the world of death.”
“Friendly fellows have been replaced by dark monster,” Kostrzewa added. “These toys can have a negative effect on children. They can destroy their souls and lead them to the dark side.”
Kostrzewa even used research that had been gathered by New Zealand’s University of Canterbury, which insisted that Lego figures’ facial expressions have become more and more apoplectic over the last few years.
He continued, “Facial expressions may lead to confusion between good and evil. It appears the good suffer in battle and the ‘villains’ have a face showing satisfaction with their evil deeds.”
One expert has fought back against Kostrzewa’s view-point though. Monica Filipowska, a psychologist who was interviewed by the Super Express newspaper, erupted, “These are just blocks.” She then added, “Linking them to Satan is just wrong, and all that will happen is that children will be afraid of them now.”
Looking at Lego’s Monster Fighters range which has provoked this outcry, it seems that the figurines for Lord Vampyre, a Dracula-like character are the ones that have really annoyed Kostrzewa.
However, Lego, who have yet to comment on the matter, shouldn’t be too concerned because this isn’t the first time that Kostrzewa has attacked a toy company for possessing evil elements. In the past he has accused both Hello Kitty and My Little Pony of being decrepit beasts, and he even stated that the latter was a “carrier of death.”
Kostrzewa’s view on The Lego Movie have yet to be revealed, but it’s probably safe to assume that he isn’t a fan.
Earlier this year, Katy Perry was accused of worshipping Satan at the Grammys by Kevin Swanson, a religious broadcaster.
Swanson noted: “The 2014 Grammy celebration was a celebration of fornication, twerking, stripping (and) satanic rituals topped off with about 34 [inaudible] weddings conducted by a lesbian with music provided by Madonna, so yeah, the homosexuals getting married and the tradition of the Caesar Nero, was basically a pagan, satanic orgy.”
He then added, “Katy Perry and all her friends, apostates from faith, they move gradually out of the Christian faith and into a secular, demonic approach to things and they move out of the Christian — this is how you get from a 55 percent church attendance ratio for the Silent Generation to 18 percent for the Millennial Generation down to 4 percent in the year 2025.”
