Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen Tour New York Together Before Broadway Exit, Confirm Status As The World’s Greatest BFFs

Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are closer than you and your best friend, and me and my best friend; heck, they’re even closer than Toy Story’s Woody and Buzz.

And when the pair travel around New York City they do so with an enthusiasm and fervor that is so loveably energetic and contagious it should really be bottled up and sold on street corners.

The duo of English actors have been in the Big Apple for several months, but now their Broadway stint in both Waiting For Godot and No Man’s Land has unfortunately come to an end.

However, rather than sitting at home and packing for their return to Blighty, the pair have ventured out across the five boroughs and taken in New York City in all its glory one final time.

And of course, Stewart was there to share the adventure with all of his Twitter followers. You can check out some of the highlights below:

Aren’t they just the best?

It’s believed that the above photos have been taken over the last year, and that Stewart simply decided to upload their exploits before they left.

Both McKellen and Stewart can be seen together on the big screen in the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past, which is set to hit cinemas next month.

New Yorkers will be praying that they return across the Atlantic in the very near future though, because their various jaunts throughout the city alongside each other have been the social media highlights of the year. However, when they were up against a picture of Kim Kardashian’s rear and the depressing and worrying decline of Amanda Bynes’ mental state, it’s not really an accolade that the rightly celebrated duo’s talents merit.
