Jennifer Love Hewitt Says Her Daughter Loves Watching ‘Ellen’
Jennifer Love Hewitt’s daughter, Autumn, absolutely loves watching Ellen. In fact, the baby does the Dougie during DeGeneres’ opening dance sequence.
Although it might sound like a ploy to ensure future appearances on the show, the former Client List star gushed about her baby’s adoration for DeGeneres during a recent interview on the daytime chat program. Love Hewitt revealed that her daughter gets visibly excited when the show comes on television.
“She’s fantastic. She’s sleeping better now, not so much in the beginning, which was a little rough. But, she’s a great sleeper now. She watches your show everyday. We both get very excited when the theme song starts and she watches you dance,” Jennifer Love Hewitt explained during her chat with DeGeneres.
The actress also said her new baby has incredible taste in music. In addition to rocking out with Ellen, she also has an affinity for Drake and Pharrell Williams. Jennifer is apparently making sure her daughter is well-versed in the ways of popular culture.
“She’s big into hip-hop and Latin music for some reason. She does the Dougie. I take her arms and do the Dougie. The second the show comes on and you start dancing she like she does this weird kick thing with her leg and she gets her little chair. She loves it. I think she’s gonna be a dancer. I really do. She loves it,” Love Hewitt explained.
According to Us Weekly, Jennifer Love Hewitt and The Client List co-star Brian Hallisay tied the knot five days before Autumn was born. The actress said the ceremony was “really sweet,” adding that Hallisay is an “awesome, incredible father and a great husband and I just feel really lucky!”
Although she’s perfectly happy with her husband and daughter, Jennifer Love Hewitt admitted that she’s having a hard time getting rid of the baby weight. According to Entertainmentwise, the actress is still wearing a few of her “pregnancy clothes.”
“And I wasn’t sure where I was going to fall and what was going to happen and how I was going to feel. It just feels great to sort of be honest about the fact that it is tough and these clothes make it a little easier, make me feel beautiful,” Jennifer explained.
The Can’t Hardly Wait star continued, “I’m still in a lot of my pregnancy clothes and there is just where I feel good right now. Everything hasn’t returned back to where I want it to be and put on my other clothes and feel good about that.”
