Two sisters in their 20s were stripped naked and stomped by a group of women last Sunday morning in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The incident, which was filmed and uploaded to Facebook by an onlooker, occurred outside in broad daylight in the Winston Terrace area of the city, a low-income housing complex.
Apparently one of the alleged attackers was upset that the two sisters, ages 20 and 21, didn’t back her up in a dispute that occurred at a club the night before. They were allegedly viciously attacked the next morning in retaliation.
About the attack, one of the victims said that “They just start swinging. First we were just tussling, then it became too much to fight back so then I just started to shield my face. I was getting my head stomped in… I feared for my life. I thought I was gonna’ die right there in that dirt… At first I could see a glimpse of people. I was stomped out basically. After that I don’t remember anything. I don’t remember the people. I just remember voices. All I heard was, ‘Get her purse. Get that purse. She got that purse.’ ” The other victim said that “All the girls started punching me in my face and pulling my hair. They dragged me down to the ground and ripped my dress off of me and dragged me out of the house and beat me and kicked me in my face.”
Both are recovering from their injuries.
One suspect — who apparently had the purses in her possession — has been arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and his being held on a $50,000 bond. She is due back in court on April 7. Cincinnati police have issued an arrest warrant for another suspect and are seeking others may that have been involved in the beating.
Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell declared that “It’s completely barbaric behavior, and we are going to aggressively pursue criminal charges against everybody in that video without a doubt.”
