Kseniya Sukhinova beats Parvathy Omankuttan for Miss World Title

Russia’s Kseniya Sukhinova has been crowned the 58th Miss World after a two-hour spectacle in South Africa after a hard fought race with India’s Parvathy Omankuttan.

Sukhinova said her immediate ambitions included meeting Russia’s president and that she aims to return to her studies at the Tyumen Oil and Gas University in her home region of north-western Siberia.

Sukhinova lists wanting to be a supermodel in her biography. Kseniya Sukhinova previous titles include being second runner-up in the Miss World 2008 Beach Beauty competition and she was fast-tracked to the finals of Miss World after becoming Miss World Top Model.

First runner up was Miss India, Parvathy Omankuttan, who many thought would take out the title. Omankuttan graciously accepted second place.
