Nicki Minaj Gives Cameron Diaz Some Friendly Advice In ‘The Other Woman’ [Video]

Nicki Minaj is dishing out relationship advice in the latest clip from the upcoming comedy The Other Woman.

For those who haven’t kept up with the rapper’s first proper foray into the world of motion pictures, Minaj plays a law firm secretary who has a few opinions about the romantic relationships her friend has a tendency to pursue.

Since The Other Woman is looming on the cinematic horizon, the folks at 20th Century Fox have released a Nicki Minaj-centric clip online. The promotional video in question finds Diaz complaining about her new boyfriend’s marital status. The rapper, of course, has a few choice words for her pal.

“All I’m saying is that married guys would be the perfect fit for you. I think you need someone with something that’s gonna keep ’em busy,” Minaj offers up.

She added, “I’ll tell you what my mother told me, and these are words to live by: Selfish people live longer.”

Although Nicki Minaj is appearing on the big screen for the very first time with the comedy, this isn’t her first dip in the Hollywood pool. The rapper previously loaned her voice to the animated flick Ice Age: Continental Drift back in 2012. Minaj played a mammoth named Steffie in the family-friendly endeavor.

Nicki and co-star Cameron Diaz might be playing characters in The Other Woman, but the Bad Teacher star definitely believes the movie rings true on many levels. In her opinion, everyone encounters a cheater at some point in their lives. If you haven’t already, then you’d better prepare yourself for the absolute worst.

“Everybody has been cheated on, everyone will be cheated on. I can’t fix that, I don’t know how, I don’t have any judgment on anybody, I don’t know how to fix the problem,” she explained during a recent interview.

To adequately prepare yourself for such a situation, perhaps it’s wise to check out Diaz and Minaj in the upcoming flick. Unfortunately for the rapper’s younger fans, the movie was recently slapped with an R rating by the MPAA. However, The Wrap reports 20th Century Fox is trying its best to appeal the decision.

The website points out that The Other Woman received the unfriendly rating due to the amount of sexual references peppered throughout the picture. Since PG-13 movies tend to do better at the box office, expect some of the raunchier moments to disappear before its theatrical release. Never fear — the movie will likely arrive unrated and uncut on home video.

Are you a fan of Nicki Minaj? Do you plan to check out her new movie in theaters on April 25?
