Wanted Man Who Shot Pregnant Girlfriend In The Face Commits Suicide

A 26-year-old man wanted by police in connection with the gruesome shooting of his girlfriend in front of her 6-year-old daughter, committed suicide when he was apprehended by police in Palm Beach County on Thursday.

Police initiated a manhunt for the suspect, Clifson Cerve, following the death of his girlfriend, Anuska Monique Dillion, aged 25, whose body was found at 2:30 a.m. Thursday. She had suffered gunshots wounds to the head.

Even more horrifying than the shots hitting her face, was the fact that the victim’s 6-year-old daughter Anylah was at home at the time of the incident. The youngster described to police that a heated argument between her mother and Cerve ended when the latter pulled out a gun and shot Dillion in the face, killing her.

In a heartbreaking moment with the press, the little girl said: “My mommy, she meant a lot to me. She took care of me. We used to do a lot of fun stuff together.”

Police discovered the body after responding to a 911 call, and confirmed that Cerve was not the girl’s father. A fund for Anylah, who has been placed with family members for safe keeping, has been set up, and has already raised more than $3,000. You can donate to the cause by clicking the link HERE.

To make this particular story even more horrific, to the point of being almost unbelievable, police said the victim was five months pregnant with Cerve’s baby. The couple had just moved into the complex where the shooting took place.

Police finally caught up with the suspect at around 1:45 p.m. as he drove his car southbound on Interstate 95 at Gateway Boulevard in Boynton Beach. When officers attempted to pull him over he refused to stop, and then shot himself rather than be taken in by police.

Officer Bermudez said: “He died from a gunshot wound to the head.”
