Many people believe Nicki Minaj is one of the best rappers on the entire planet. However, a few folks believe she still has some things to learn about the game.
In case you haven’t heard, Minaj is all set to conquer 2014. Not only did she drop the controversial tune “Lookin A** N****” on the masses earlier this year, she’s also prepping her next solo venture The Pink Print. In other words, expect to hear a lot more from Nicki before the year wraps up.
According to MTV News, one person who believes Nicki Minaj could improve a little is Young Money CEO Lil Wayne. Although he definitely thinks Minaj is a fantastic rapper, this doesn’t means she shouldn’t strive to sharpen her abilities.
“That’s what Nicki does — she never fails to amaze me with anything she do. Honestly, I’m a tough judge and I’m the boss, so I kinda be like, ‘That’s nice, but you can do better,’” he recently explained to the outlet.
Weezy also discussed Nicki Minaj during his recent CRWN interview with journalist Elliott Wilson. When Lil Wayne first signed the rapper, Minaj was essentially the same person she is right now.
“She was being Nicki. That’s who I met and that was without the glitz and the glamour. When I first heard the first two and four bars, it wasn’t even about she’s rapping better than any female rapper, it was about man, she’s rapping better than the rappers, period,” he explained.
Unfortunately, it’s still unknown when Nicki Minaj plans to drop The Pink Print on the masses. Since she’s currently busy promoting the Young Money compilation Rise of an Empire, chances are the release date is still a few months down the road. After all, Lil Wayne probably doesn’t want his artists competing with one another for your money.
However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of Minaj-related stuff out there for you to consume. The rapper recently shot the music video for “Senile,” the latest single from the aforementioned compilation. Take a look at the Nicki in her leather outfit below.
