Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead? Man Locks Wife In Shed After She Sings About His Mother’s Death

A wife singing “Ding dong, the witch is dead!” after the death of her mother-in-law incurred the wrath of her husband, who allegedly assaulted her and looked her away in a shed.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, this isn’t exactly a new reaction since one scathing obituary wrote, “Ding dong, the witch is dead!” The brother and sister responsible for the obituary explained:

“Everyone she met, adult or child was tortured by her cruelty and exposure to violence, criminal activity, vulgarity, and hatred of the gentle or kind human spirit.”

So far we don’t know what the mother-in-law of Beverley Salmon did to deserve such a reaction. Mr. Salmon claims he suspected his wife was having an affair and then she was not supportive at all of his mother’s death:

“She never really got on with my mum or any of my relatives and when my mum died she was horrible and offered me no support – she was extremely unsympathetic.”

When Mrs. Salmon kept on loudly singing “ding dong, the witch is dead” her husband grew so furious that he reacted by packing her bags and kicking her out of the home. When she could not get back into the house she went into their shed only to have her husband lock the door on her.

But the wife managed to make her way out of the shed via window and somehow got back into the house. In response, Mr. Salmon dragged her outside again by her feet while she was kicking and screaming. She managed to work herself free and ran upstairs. This is where the report gets nasty. Mrs. Salmon began throwing her husband’s clothing out the window so he responded by pinning her to the bed, punched her in the face, choked her, and twisted her breasts.

Mr. Salmon does not have any previous convictions or a history of violence. He has already plead guilty to assaulting his wife and he confesses that his actions were out of order. He says that before the incident he was depressed and unhappy so when his wife began singing “ding dong, the witch is dead” it was the final straw. He will be sentenced next month.
