Man Trapped In Truck Underground In Apollo Beach, Florida


A man is trapped in a truck underground in Apollo Beach in Hillsborough County, Florida. The story is developing and few details are known how the truck sank into the earth. A backhoe has attached a chain to the truck in an attempt to prevent it from falling deeper underground, according to breaking news details offered by Shep Smith on Fox News.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to the call on Big Bend Road and Waterset Boulevard around 2:30 EST. The hole is reportedly inside a construction site for a new home subdivision.

The latest news coming out of the Hillsboroough County accident now revealed that a man is trapped he is not inside a red truck as initially reported. The backhoe harness is holding the man in place during the rescue attempt. The man, possibly a construction worker at he Apollo Beach area site, has at least one leg trapped under a piece equipment. It is currently believed that the trench area became too wet and the earth gave way, causing the man to fall and become trapped.
