Mick Jagger’s Girlfriend L’Wren Scott’s Death Ruled Suicide, Stones Postpone Shows

The Rolling Stones are concerned about band mate Mick Jagger after the shocking death of his longtime girlfriend, fashion designer L’Wren Scott, and have left Australia — which they were touring — postponing seven concerts until October or November, according to Frontier Touring.

Mick Jagger’s girlfriend was found at her $6 million New York City apartment by her assistant on Monday after she took her own life.

Drummer Charlie Watts spoke with MailOnline conveying that Jagger is not doing well:

“He’s holding up. He’s OK. He’s not really well. He’s not really here. It was such a shock.”

Mick Jagger first heard the tragic news while dining at the Perth restaurant Coco’s, where he had been for about an hour before someone in his party came in and told him what had happened, manager Denise Zammit told Closer magazine.

“Before that he was talking to our waiter who is also English and he was having a great time with him. They were talking about England and where he’d been in Perth and all the things he’d been doing.”

“Before he left the restaurant he shook the waiter’s hand and said, ‘I’m sorry I have to leave’ and he said he’d had a great night. He said he had to leave straight away.”

The rest of the Rolling Stones — who have been together since 1962 — also offered Mick Jagger their their support, as the shock of Scott’s death settles in.

Guitarist Ronnie Wood said: “This is such terrible news and right now the important thing is that we are all pulling together to offer Mick our support.”

Keith Richards stated: “No one saw this coming. Mick’s always been my soul brother and we love him. We’re all feeling for the man.”

On Wednesday, the husband of Scott’s sister, Jan, told the New York Daily News that the party animal, Mick Jagger, was ready to settle down and had been thinking of purchasing a $10 million home in New York.

The medical examiner confirmed news reports that the death of the 49-year-old American designer to the stars, was indeed a suicide by hanging.

Some reports in the media indicate that she was having financial difficulties and her business was on the verge of failing.

Scott’s body was picked up after the conclusion of the examination and was reportedly going to be taken to the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on Madison Avenue, the location of several celebrity wakes, including that of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman just last month.

Jagger put out a heartfelt tribute to his girlfriend of 13-years on his Facebook page:

It is unclear where Mich Jagger is at the moment, however, reports indicate that he is on his way to the US from Australia to take care of his girlfriend’s funeral arrangements.
