Jennifer Lopez Releasing Her Tenth Album

Just because Jennifer Lopez has a regular gig as a judge on American Idol doesn’t mean she’s sitting pretty. Lopez, who has her hands in music, acting, and fashion, announced that she’s gearing up for her tenth studio album.

In an interview with radio station Hot 104.7, Jennifer Lopez announced that she would be releasing her tenth album that will be hitting the shelves in the summer. If you would like a date to mark off on your calendar, Lopez’s album is due out on June 17.

Lately Jennifer Lopez’s albums haven’t had major success since her earlier works, but it looks like Lopez is not taking any chances this time around. Jennifer tapped into everyone that’s hot on Top 40 these days to work with her on her new album for a surefire top charting tenth studio album.

So who’s in this group that worked on Lopez’s album? According to Jenny from the block hot acts such as Robin Thicke, Tyga, Big Sean and Maxwell are lending a helping hand or two for Jennifer’s album. Those who have been following Jennifer Lopez’s music career really shouldn’t be surprised that she’s releasing an album. Recently Lopez released a single off the forthcoming album.

The single, “I Luh Ya Papi” is catching some buzz for its beats, but mostly the song is grabbing headlines for Lopez’s gender role reversal video. In the video Jennifer Lopez talks about rap girl videos, and how the women are often objectified. For her video she employs men in skimpy clothes to hang with.

Of the single, Lopez told the radio station:

“I wanted someone from New York. It’s the whole vibe of the record,” she said of French. “He heard ‘Papi’ and he said, ‘I gotta get on that.’

During an interview earlier in the month, Lopez spoke with Power106 with Big Boy’s Neighborhood. On being incredibly busy Lopez said “I don’t know what enough is to everybody. I just love creating. I love what I do. There’s is no lie – I love being successful, I love continuing to be successful. It’s a blessing to me. I’m happy when my life is right, my kids are right, and I’m doing what I love. Sometimes I take on too much and then I’m like ‘I’m not going to do that again.’ It’s a balance. I’m learning as I go. I’m never not in artist time. The other stuff is my side hustle. I’m always artist first.”

Lopez has been recording for the album since last February.
