$25 Corn Dog: 18 Inches Long And Bacon Stuffed, Pure Heaven

You might think that $25 is a high price to pay for a corn dog, but the Arizona Diamondbacks don’t think it is, especially as it’s stuffed with bacon, cheese, and jalapenos, and served with a side order of fries.

Officials from the team revealed to ESPN.com that the new ‘D-Bat Dog’ – as it has been so aptly named – will be sold at concession stands at Chase Field this season, and they hope it will be a real crowd pleaser.

Derrick Hall, team president and CEO of the D-Backs, said about the new $25 corn dog:

This is really about providing our fans with new options each year, and in the case of some of our larger items, it’s really about sharing with the family. We don’t have any expectations for the D-Bat, but we’ll look forward to seeing if it becomes popular with our fans. Every night for us is a successful night because we offer the most affordable food prices in all of baseball.

If your budget doesn’t quite stretch to $25, though, no need to fret! There is also a yummy $10 option available, which is a footlong habanero sausage topped with black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream.

And if $10 is still a stretch for you, you can always opt for the Sonoran Dog which was launched last year. The Sonoran is a hot dog wrapped in mesquite-smoked bacon with pico de gallo, beans and mayo. Price: Just $7.

In 2012, Texas Rangers fans were more than a little upset when the $25 hot dog threshold was breached.. Then, the Rangers launched the massive 2-foot Boomstick, a hot dog covered in chilli, nacho cheese, jalapenos, and onions. That dog sold for $26.

Despite the complaints about the Boomstick, fans bought over 20,000 of them in the first season and munched them happily.
