Tyler, The Creator Plays Concert After Weekend Arrest [Video]

Looks like Tyler, the Creator’s weekend arrest in Austin isn’t getting him down. It’s being reported that the rapper played a sold-out concert in Dallas just hours after he was released from jail due to a misdemeanor charge of starting a riot.

While some of you are only now getting to know who Tyler, the Creator is, due to his canceled concert at SXSW and his alleged behavior at the festival on Thursday, to fans of hip hop, a chance to get to see the rapper is a hot ticket. The Odd Future rapper, whose real name is Tyler Gregory Okonma, proved that as he performed to the sold out-out crowd in Texas. As reported, Tyler made a bond of $25,000 and then played the House of Blues merely hours after his arrest.

As we previously reported, Tyler, the Creator incited a riot when he told a large crowd “let’s just f—ing do it right now! Push, push, push.” This was in an effort to have the crowd push their way up to the front of the stage during SXSW. According to the Hollywood Reporter, it’s believed that the large crowd was already at its capacity when the rapper tried to take the reins and started a riot.

After Tyler’s arrest, the police released the video of the Thursday concert that the rapper caused a riot at. The video, which was then pushed out by TMZ, shows Tyler jumping up and down and screaming the word, “push” to his legions of fans, as they burst through the gate at the downtown Austin spot, the Scoot Inn.

Later on Tyler, the Creator was arrested at Austin-Bergstrom Airport on Saturday, and was charged with the misdemeanor, a hefty fine of $4,000 and if convicted a sentence of a year in jail.

According to multiple reports, this behavior exhibited by Tyler at SXSW isn’t anything new. Tyler, the Creator had a bit of trouble back in February when he was denied a visa to travel to New Zealand. According to officials at the scene, Tyler was considered as a potential “public threat” because of past incidences, “including incidents at past performances in which they have incited violence.” One specific incident happened in 2011 when Tyler, the Creator was involved in a unruly situation at a comic book store in Boston.

Although Tyler, the Creator moved on hours after his arrest by performing a successful show, his rep is staying quiet about his most recent arrest.
