Millie Brown: The Artist Behind The Lady Gaga Puke Performance

Millie Brown shocked many when she vomited on Grammy-award winning Lady Gaga during the singer’s Thursday performance at the SXSW music festival, as reported here at the Inquisitr.

But Millie isn’t one of those crazy little monsters. The puking wasn’t a random, disgusting fan encounter. It was actually a part of Lady Gaga’s performance of her song “Swine” for Doritos #BoldStage.

Millie Brown is a vomit artist. That’s right – a VOMIT artist who pukes on clothing, a canvas or, in this instance, singers, for art.

This is what happened: the “Judas” singer knelt on the stage and banged on the drums, doing her usual crazy-artist routine. What was unusual was Brown who was beside her with two fingers down her throat, preparing to eject her bodily fluids towards the 27 year old singer. Finally, when the song reached a climax, Millie regurgitated a stomach-full of thick green goo towards Lady Gaga’s torso.

Amazingly, Lady Gaga was able to keep a poker face during the bizarre stunt.

Most YouTube videos of Millie Brown’s gag-inducing stunt were taken down, either because of copyright issues or because it was just plain gross.

Although unheard by many, Millie Brown has made a name for herself as one of the leading vomit painters in the world, though we’re not sure really sure how impressive that would be in a resume. The Daily Mail noticed Millie last year when she started attracting attention for her Jackson Pollock-inspired paintings.

27 year old Millie concocts a potion of milk and dye, drinks them, and churns them at a canvas to create abstract splash-style paintings. She even records herself on camera doing her odd way of creating art.

Unsurprisingly, Brown found a fan in Lady Gaga, who immediately already booked her on various performance events and music videos.

Her paintings have starred on a couple of exhibits including one at the Strand Gallery in London.

When asked to talk about her work, Millie said:

“By creating art from the very depths of my own physical being I am able to challenge people’s perception of beauty, expressing raw elements of human nature and in turn challenging myself both physically and mentally.”

So edgy!

Many of Brown’s work can be seen on her Tumblr page. Warning: do not open before, during or after a sumptuous meal

Regardless of what you think of Millie Brown, she has certainly garnered much attention during this year’s SXSW, and it is very likely that we’ll hear again from the artist soon.
