BioShock Infinite ‘Windows Into Other Worlds’ Developer Diary

Irrational Games released a brand new BioShock Infinite developer diary yesterday evening. The video details the game’s “tear” mechanic, which allows Elizabeth to bring in objects, weapons or even people from parallel dimensions.

As Irrational’s Ken Levine explains in the developer diary, the tear system allows for players to choose how to handle situations. You could have Alice to call in cover, or you could call in some cross-dimensional firepower to aid you in combat. The system allows for each player to experience something different every time they play.

The tear mechanic looks slick and all, but I can’t help but be distracted by just how incredible BioShock Infinite looks. Shut up and take my money, Irrational!
