Simpsons Couch Gag Video Has Homer Eating Snails ala France

The latest Simpson couch gag video has the whole family turning French.

In a related report by The Inquisitr, in celebration of the 500th Simpsons episode we showed all of the Simpsons couch gag videos in addition to the blackboard quotes written by Bart. But I’d say one of the best Simpsons couch gags is the film noir version.

Normally, the Simpsons couch joke tends to be the same animation style made famous by Matt Groening. But this time the series producers have not only created a new gag but also mimicked the art style in deference to Oscar-nominated director Sylvain Chomet.

The fun starts when the house fuse goes out and when the lights come back the entire Simpsons family is rendered completely different and they’re also speaking French. While Marge can’t find Maggie for some reason (is that a French joke?), there’s plenty of gags about France going around. Homer is eating snails as the title mentions, but Lisa plays the accordion instead of a sax. Bart is also busy stuffing a goose with a “do it yourself pate” kit. I don’t remember the people of Paris all wearing glasses when I was in Europe, but for some reason the Simpsons are all sporting four-eyes this time around.

What did you think about this interesting Simpsons couch gag video? Hey, at least they didn’t say, “Filthy Americans! Le pew, le phew!”
